The Value of Visuals

The Value of Visuals

In 2018, TechSmith set out to create first-of-its-kind research aiming to prove whether using visual communication methods, such as screenshots, explainer videos, and replacing meetings with videos affected worker productivity.

I managed this project from start to finish. Working with a lab in the UK and other researchers, we set up a truly scientific test along with a survey. In many ways, it was a risky move. Because we wanted unbiased scientific results, there was a chance that we wouldn't be able to prove that our products could help workers be more productive.

Luckily, the results were staggeringly in our favor. This report earned us placements in highly coveted print and online media, and, as of my departure from TechSmith, was still being quoted by outside sources.
